Youth Services Programs Adult Programs French City Writers’ Guild Ages 18 and over Both budding and experienced writers are encouraged to attend the monthly meeting of the French City Writers’ Guild. Writers can bring their written works of various genres for discussion. Guild meetings are only for individuals age 18 and over. Ages 13 and over Come out for Trivia Night and compete as an individual or play with your family or friends to test your knowledge of current events, science, history, pop culture, and more! Trivia Night In-B-Tween Club Ages 7-9 The first In-B-Tween Club meeting in July will feature a reading of Do Not Bring Your Dragon to the Library by Julie Gassman with illustrations by Andy Elkerton. Attendees will get to create a dragon-themed craft and will enjoy a “feed the baby dragon” game. The second In-B-Tween Club meeting will feature a reading of The Mermaid Moon by Briony May Smith. The In-B-Tweens will get to enjoy a mermaid craft and beach charades. For additional information, please contact Rachael at rbarker @bossardlibrary.org. Ages 3-6 On July 11, evening storytime will feature a reading of Summer Days and Nights by Wong Herbert Yee. On July 25, evening storytime will feature a reading of The Perfect Picnic by Ciara Flood. Evening storytime is held twice per month and is typically a repeat of the previous Monday morning’s storytime. Children, ages 3-6, and their parents or caregivers are encouraged to attend. Evening Storytime Tween Book Club Ages 8-12 The Tween Book Club will be reading Consider the Octopus by Nora Raleigh Baskin and Gae Polisner in July. Copies of the book can be borrowed from the library. The eBook or digital audiobook can be borrowed from hoopla, while the eBook is available through Libby. The July Tween Book Club meeting will be a movie day featuring Migration (rated PG). The Tween Book Club meets every other month at the library. Any interested child, ages 8-12, is welcome and encouraged to attend. Permission form required.
