French City Writers’ Guild Ages 18 and over Both budding and experienced writers are encouraged to stop by the library to attend the monthly meeting of the French City Writers’ Guild. Writers are encouraged to discuss their original works of various genres, including nonfiction, poetry, genre fiction, and drama. Guild meetings are only for those 18 and over. ‘Game on!’ Game Day Saturday Ages 12 and over (under 12 with an adult) Bring your friends and stop by the library for Game Day. All ages and skill levels are welcome. Children ages 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Attendees are welcome to stay for the entire event or play games as time allows. Youth Services Programs Adult Programs Pajama Storytime & Lapsit Ages 3-6; Ages Birth-3 Children can wear their pajamas and bring their favorite stuffed animal to join in during pajama storytime and lapsit in November! Children, ages 36, will enjoy a reading of Pete the Cat and the Bedtime Blues by Kimberly and James Dean during storytime on November 12. Lapsit attendees, ages birth through three, will enjoy a reading of Time for Bed, Pete the Kitty also by Kimberly and James Dean on November 14. Both events will be held at the Gallipolis First Church of God and special snacks will be served. In-B-Tween Club Ages 7-9 The In-B-Tween Club will meet in November for a special turkeythemed event. The meeting will feature a reading of Turkey’s Birthday Bash by Wendi Silvano and illustrated by Lee Harper. Attendees will get to play “pin the hat on the turkey,” create a turkey craft, and enjoy snacks. Additional details, including date and location, will be released at bossardlibrary.org. Ages 3-6 Join us for storytime at the Gallia Academy High School library, 2855 Centenary Road, Gallipolis, featuring stories with the basketball athletes of GAHS. Featured books will include Dino-Basketball by Lisa Wheeler with illustrations by Barry Gott and I Have a Superpower by Stephen Curry with illustrations by Geneva Bowers. Attendees will also get to learn basketball skills with the players in the school gymnasium. Children, ages 36, and their parents or caregivers are encouraged to attend.
