On Sunday, April 30 at 2:00 PM, join Bossard Library in welcoming Julia Geiger in a living history portrayal of Roseanna McCoy.

Listen as Roseanna tells about her tragic love affair with Johnse, son of "Devil Anse", leader of the Hatfield family.

Discover how this forbidden relationship escalated the feud between the Hatfield and McCoy families.

Julia Geiger has been researching and portraying historical women for over a decade. She first portrayed Roseanna McCoy in 2014 for the Chautauqua Living History Series in Knox County, Ohio, in what became her most popular performance and one she repeated twice in recent years.

Julia studied women's history at Ohio Wesleyan University and holds a Masters in History and Literature from The Ohio State University, in addition to doctoral research on women in Medieval England.

Julia works as a high school teacher and coaches cross country and track and field. She lives in Mt. Vernon, Ohio with her mother Leah, rescue dog Nora, and cat Princess Ruby. She loves reading, being in nature, and amateur photography.
