In partnership with the French Art Colony, Bossard Library is pleased to announce that there will be a permanent StoryWalk located on the grounds of the French Art Colony.
Beginning June 6, community members (adult and children alike) are invited to visit the French Art Colony, enjoy their beautiful grounds and read The Magical Garden of Claude Monet by Laurence Anholt.
StoryWalk is a way for children and adults to enjoy both the great outdoors and great children's books. Follow the pages of the story as you walk from frame to frame along the path. StoryWalk promotes literacy, physical activity, and parent/caregiver involvement.
The Library will feature a new story at least 7 times a year. New stories will be available in July, August-September, October, November, December, January-February-March, and April-May-June.
This permanent installation is made possible by Bossard Memorial Library, the French Art Colony, and donations by the Gallipolis Kiwanis Club, Gallipolis Rotary Club, and Shaynaco, LLC.
The StoryWalk Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT and developed in collaboration with the Kellogg Hubbard Library. StoryWalk is a registered service mark owned by Ms. Ferguson.
