Please join Ohio cookbook author and food writer Sara Bir on Saturday, August 13 at 2:30 for a cooking demonstration and food tasting featuring recipes from her book, Tasting Ohio: Favorite Recipes from the Buckeye State.

Sara will discuss and answer questions regarding Tasting Ohio, an all-Ohio cookbook featuring some of the best and most-loved dishes from chefs and food gurus around the state. She will demo the making of Summer Succotash and Peanut Butter Buckeyes with samples available for everyone to try. 

Sara will answer questions regarding the recipes in the book, how the cookbook came about, and her adventures with choosing and putting together/photographing the recipes. She will be glad to answer questions about her other two titles, The Pocket PawPaw Cookbook and The Fruit Forager's Companion: Ferments, Desserts, Main Dishes, and more from Your Neighborhood and Beyond.

Sara, a native Ohioan and Marietta resident, is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America. Her many jobs have included being a food librarian, an Arts and Entertainment reporter, a restaurant critic, a food editor, and a recipe taster. She also was an extern at the test kitchens for Martha Stewart Living (ask her about the bunny cake!).

Sara will have all three of her titles available for purchase and autographing. Payment can be via cash, check, or credit card. Prices are as follows:
