Library partners with GCCVB for 2020 Passport Challenge

Announcing the following on behalf of the Gallia County Convention and Visitors' Bureau:

Grab the kids! It is time for the NEW and IMPROVED Passport Challenge presented by the Gallia County Convention and Visitors Bureau. The 2020 Passport Challenge: Exploring with Henry & Elizabeth Cushing is inspired by the original owners of Our House Tavern siblings Henry & Elizabeth Cushing. You could say they were some of Gallia’s first Travel Guides!

In the 2020 Passport Challenge, participants or travelers use our passport worksheet to create their own tour of Gallia County. Visit one destination in Gallia County for each of the six categories, Educational, The Arts, History, Recreation, Restaurants, and a Special Activity. For each destination you visit, answer the questions for that location and give it a rating on the passport worksheet. For the special activity category, this can be anything.  We recommend game nights with family, going hiking, doing something new, etc.

Please note it is NOT required to enter any destination and travelers are encouraged to follow official health guidelines.

After completing the passport worksheet, turn it into the Gallia County Convention and Visitors Bureau. Worksheets can be brought into the office at 441 Second Avenue, Gallipolis, OH (across from the post office), emailed to info@visitgallia.com, or sent to @visitgallia on social media.  For each worksheet that is submitted, travelers will receive a water bottle*, bag*, and will be entered to win additional prizes. Prizes are shirts from Lucky Cat, a succulent arrangement from The Potted Edge, fishing poles, and gift cards to many of Gallia County’s local restaurants.

We also want to recognize and thank this year’s program partners,  Bossard Memorial Library and Holzer Health System. Their support of this program year after year is greatly appreciated.

For more information please contact the Gallia County Convention and Visitors Bureau at 740-446-6882 or info@visitgallia.
