Teapot Racing was created by Simone Montgomery and originated in New Zealand in 2014 at the Steampunk NZ Festival in Oamaru.
Teapot Racing is a race where specially modified, battery-powered, remote-control Teapot vehicles maneuver around a course of obstacles in a timed event.
Teapot Racers are created from a battery-powered, remote-control vehicle of your choice with a teapot mounted on it. Think outside the box and use your imagination!
Only the outside and chassis of the vehicle can be changed, the internals must remain unaltered.
Racers must not exceed 11 7/8 inches (30 cm) wide, by 11 7/8 (30 cm) tall, and 15 3/4 inches (40 cm) long.
Get that racer ready and we will see you May 2 at the Festival.
