Rubee says:
"Download our new app and give it a lookie,
"Show us the app and we'll give you a cookie."
Bossard Memorial Library is pleased to announce the launch of the new library mobile app, available for download beginning September 1, the first day of National Library Card Signup Month.
From September 1 through September 5, the Library encourages individuals to stop by the library, show us that you have downloaded the new app (or allow us to assist you in downloading the new app) and receive a special themed cookie!
Individuals may download the app from the App Store or Google Play Store by searching for Bossard Memorial Library.
App features include, but are not limited to:
- the ability to show your library card number (barcode) using the My Barcode button. Patrons are permitted to show their card on the app in lieu of the physical library card. Patrons are also able to add their library card to their "wallet" on their device. After downloading the app, patrons will be prompted to enter their library card number and PIN to access their account through the app.
- the ability to use the app to perform "Self-Checkout" while within the Library. Patrons will be permitted to use their mobile device to borrow books, audiobooks, board games, and periodicals. All other items, including holds, must be checked out to the patron by a staff member. Patrons will receive a receipt for self-checkout within their account in the app.
- the ability to register for events through the mobile app.
- the ability to pay fines and fees through the mobile app.
- the ability to "link" juvenile accounts to the parent/guardian's account. The parent/guardian of a minor (age 17 and under) may link their minor child's (or children's) library card account(s) through the Library's mobile app. The child or children must be present in order for a parent/guardian to utilize their minor child's linked account(s) on the mobile app to borrow library materials.
- the ability to select English or Spanish as their preferred language on the app.
