Get creative this summer with our "Color Our World" Summer Reading Program.

Children, tweens, and teens are encouraged to register for the Summer Reading Program beginning Monday, June 9, 2025.

For every three books read or read to them (up to 30), elementary-age children through age 7 will be awarded a brag tag to collect, wear, hang off a backpack, etc. Maximum of 10 brag tags per child.

Pre-school children will receive their very own colorful and artistic prize for books read to them.

For tweens (ages 8-12) and teens (ages 13-19), brag tags will be awarded for every book read (up to 10). Maximum of 10 brag tags per tween/teen.

Only books, audiobooks, and graphic novels that are borrowed from Bossard Library count toward the Summer Reading Program.

Items borrowed digitally from the Ohio Digital Library (using the Libby app) and Hoopla also count toward the Summer Reading Program.

Special Summer Reading Program events include:

  • A production of "Peter Pan" by Bright Star Theatre on Monday, June 2 at 10:00 AM
  • Follow the Yellow Brick Road Summer Reading Kickoff on Saturday, June 7 from 11:00 AM -- 2:00 PM
