In an emergency, a person can bleed out within five minutes. The national average response time for emergency medical care is more than 15 minutes. A bystander that knows how to use a tourniquet or otherwise control bleeding can be the difference between life and death.
In STOP THE BLEED® training, a certified trainer presents the basics of bleeding and how to recognize, then stop life-threatening bleeding, then provides hands-on practice using pressure, packing, and a tourniquet to stop bleeding.
Please join Molly Fulk with Whitney Strong on Thursday, June 26 at 6:30 PM as she trains individuals on how to “STOP THE BLEED® ”.
After the training, each individual will go home with their very own “STOP THE BLEED® ” kit. This kit includes everything that was learned in the session and everything needed in an emergency.
This event is free and open to all.
Registration is REQUIRED for this event.
